1. Tuition & Payment Options
Monthly tuition secures and reserves your dedicated weekly time slot on the SaxMentor studio calendar.
Standard Monthly Prepay (Recommended): $240 / month
- Due on or before the 1st of each month.
- Equivalent to $60/lesson, guaranteeing your recurring weekly day and time slot.
- Late payments received after the 5th of the month are subject to a $15 late fee.
Pay-As-You-Go Single Lesson: $70 / lesson
- Payment must be remitted at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session.
- Time slots are subject to weekly studio availability and are not permanently reserved.
2. Flat Monthly Tuition & 5-Lesson Months
Tuition is billed as a flat $240 monthly fee based on an annual 48-week instructional calendar year (12 months × $240 = $2,880 total).
- Months containing 5 weekly lesson dates do not incur an extra charge.
- The four extra "fifth weeks" occurring throughout the calendar year are utilized either for scheduled studio break weeks (e.g., major holidays) or served as bonus instructional weeks at no additional cost to prepay students.
- Monthly tuition remains a constant $240 regardless of calendar variations.
3. Attendance, Cancellations & Asynchronous Make-Up Policy
Because your monthly tuition reserves a dedicated, non-transferable time slot exclusively for you, live 1-on-1 make-up lessons are not offered for student-canceled sessions or no-shows.
If you notify the studio at least 24 hours in advance of an absence, you will not lose your instruction for that week. Simply submit a 2-minute video recording of your current practice assignment. Mr. Williams will review your submission and record a personalized video critique with downloadable PDF practice notes during your scheduled lesson hour.
- Short Notice / No-Shows: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or unexcused no-shows forfeit that week’s session entirely without a video critique or refund.
- Teacher Absence: In the rare event that the instructor must cancel a session, a live 1-on-1 make-up session will be scheduled, or a credit will be applied toward the following month's tuition.
4. Curriculum Focus Track Upgrades (Optional)
Students enrolled in standard monthly tuition may elect to enroll in a specialized 8-Week Focus Track (e.g., Sax Systems: Pentatonic Superimposition & Enclosures).
- Enrolling in a Focus Track requires a one-time $97 Materials & Digital Access Fee per course.
- During the 8-week track, weekly 1-on-1 lesson time shifts 100% to the specialized curriculum.
- Includes lifetime streaming access to custom video walkthroughs and backing tracks on the SaxMentor portal, plus downloadable PDF exercise workbooks.
By enrolling in private lessons or purchasing course materials under the SaxMentor™ brand, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the tuition rates, payment schedules, and attendance policies outlined above.
